OUR MISSION

Mission Firefly exists to shine light into the darkness and to share the love of Christ with “the least of these”. Our mission is to take the good news of Jesus Christ to the poor and needy of our world. Period.

As we prepare to follow God’s command to go into all the world and make disciples of all the nations, we focus on three things: spiritual discipleship, physical needs and economic stability. Our steadfast goal is to mobilize and empower various groups of believers and local churches to do the same.

Our Philosophy

We will dream big, work tirelessly and persevere no matter what.

• DREAM.
  We will dream without boundaries to imagination or limitations on God (Ephesians 3:20-21)
• WORK.
  We will work tirelessly, because the cause is worthy of our sacrifice (Philippians 3:13)
• PERSEVERE.
  We will persevere and forever cling to the promise, “if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. (Isaiah 58:10)

We build, organize, strategize, rejuvenate, transform, train, teach, lead, facilitate, serve, inspire and assist… We are partners, friends, mentors, leaders, teachers, servants and more.

Our Promise

• GO. We go to share the good news of Jesus Christ because economic wealth without spiritual wealth is eternally worthless (Matthew 16:26). We go and are not intimidated by the size of the task because Jesus Christ has made us more than conquerors and we know that absolutely nothing is impossible with God (Romans 8:37, Matthew 17:20)
• SERVE. We serve the poor and outcast of this world because we have been given personal responsibility by God to intervene on their behalf (Isaiah 58:10)
• WORSHIP. We worship the living God by offering ourselves as living sacrifices to Him and all that He has commanded (Romans 12:1)
• BE MOVED. We are moved with compassion for those who distressed and downcast, because we are filled with the love of Christ (Matthew 9:36)

Our Strategy

We will accomplish our mission by creating solutions and duplicating our efforts in the local church... and then we will simply GO.

Mission Firefly seeks to help create sustainable solutions locally and around the world by focusing on five key areas of need: spiritual, physical, economic, health and education. We endeavor to duplicate these solutions by exposing other ministries and concerned individuals to the plight of those in spiritual and economic need.

Our goal is to help empower and enable local churches to develop long term relationships through short term mission trips and also give practical help to those who have little or no experience in missions.
